Based on a famous book by Georges Perec, L’arte e la maniera di affrontare il proprio capo per chiedergli un aumento (literally The Art and the Way of Confronting One’s Boss to Ask for a Raise) stages the doubts and torments of a poor employee about to ask his boss for a raise.
The protagonist of this opera moves through a Kafkaesque labyrinth in hopes of achieving a satisfactory outcome. Will our hero succeed in his quest?
